Do I need an informatics master's degree?+
Not for entry. Vendor roles (Epic, Oracle Cerner) frequently hire BSN RNs with strong EHR/superuser experience. Hospital-side and ANCC-certified roles increasingly require an MSN-Informatics.
What about EHR certifications?+
Epic certifications (Cogito, Bridges, Inpatient) are common to require — but employers sponsor them. You can't self-certify in Epic.
