Job description
The UM Nurse Consultant uses clinical judgment to review medical necessity for prior authorization requests using MCG criteria. This is a 100% remote role open to nurses with an active compact RN license. Salary range: $70,000–$100,000 plus bonus. Requires 3+ years acute-care experience. BSN preferred.
Key responsibilities
- Review prior authorization requests for medical necessity using MCG criteria
- Render coverage determinations within service level agreements
- Escalate complex cases to medical director
